make your place kinda bigger

Almost everyone’s catching up some fun under the spring heat as summer still a month away. Thinking what else to do? You perhaps want to consider making your place for a bigger and cooler look to hang-out with. So get started and make your place ready for a summer full of fun. From On the GO.

>Foyer. To make a small entry look larger, mirror a wall or hang a large mirror above a chest or a console.

>Focal Points. If you have a fireplace, hang a mirror above it to reflect light into the room. No fireplace? Buy a great looking console and hang a large decorative mirror above it.

>Bathroom. The fastest way to lighten and brighten a small bathroom is to put a large mirror above the vanity. If your budget permits, mirror the opposite wall to create an even more spacious feeling.

>Kitchen. If your kitchen feels cramped, mirror the wall space between the cabinets and the counter top. This trick adds more light and makes the workspace look larger.

>Closets. Turn a small closet into a computer nook. Mirror the walls, add built-ins, and install good lighting. Your computer room will be bright and cheerful thanks to the magic of mirrors.

Tracing stress and depression

I am the type of person that can fall asleep even though a snoring cousin would slept with us for an overnight stay, a loud sound of music in the background or there’s people chatting around.

I could sleep on buses, trains, more in a passenger jeep that is less comfortable.
All I want to do is to sleep, sleep and sleep. Most of the morning is a hard time to deal with. I always fight with laziness to get up on the bed. However I could stay awaked several nights working overtime to meet deadline of works.

It has been said that sleeplessness may associate with depression, fatigue, anxiety and so on. With that, I elevated some confidence and strongly believed I am not into depression or anxiety. All is well with me although tiny part within would like to declare I’m dead-smashed inside.

Lately I’ve read that according to David N. Neubauer, M.D, associate director of the Johns Hopkins Sleep Disorders Center, at least 80 percent of depressed people experience some form of insomnia - whether it’s difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep. It raises my eyebrows with much disbelief. Well then if that would be the case, I told myself I may belong to the remaining 20 %.

Also a latest study from Taipei Veterans General Hospital found out that woman who suffered dysfunctional voiding like frequent urinating is having a high level of depression and anxiety. Compare to other women without this kind of symptoms.

I started to experience frequent urinating two years ago at home. In and out of the washroom especially at night until I could feel my tummy hardened. I could say I am a water freak and this probably the reason of my frequent urinating. Yet I think the situation is getting worst this time. I had my consecutive medical check-up last year before leaving the country and had too early this year. The results were all blaze of glory over unexpected outcome. I am physically well. (Emotionally??)

Stressful environment and modern life style are perhaps contributing factor to high incidents of dysfunctional voiding. And dysfunctional voiding is more commonly seen in recent years, with an average age of 48 says Dr. Alex T.L. Lin of Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan.

Given the above review it gives me goose-bumps. Under some circumstances, yes, I think it’s not too far to be in state of stress or depression.

Get hydrated

The intense hot outdoor caused by the heat of the sun is almost over. Cold breeze could already be felt. Whether I like it or not, summer time will soon end.

To enjoy the remaining days is the least thing to do. And be ready for the coming of autumn.

But before we finally let got of the summer, catch some of the fluid lose during those sweaty-good times under the sun. A hydration sip tips from The Beverage Institute for Wellness and Health. A tip I think good for all types of season.
--
One of the easiest ways to improve your overall health is simple: drink more fluid. Why? Because staying hydrated helps keep your brain sharper, your skin clearer, and your energy up.

And you can feel good about thinking beyond the tap. Research shows that all beverages, even those containing caffeine, help keep you hydrated. In fact, adults tend to drink more liquid when it’s a flavoured drink versus plain water.

So go ahead and grab your favourite beverage. Your body will thank you for it.

Look out, at the latter part of the day you maybe go back and forth to the washroom due to nature’s call.

Minding do’s and don’ts

Were you been cautious or conscious lately when you are eating, either on a fine dinning, in a special occasion, in a restaurant or on your usual meal? Well, here are some of the do’s and don’ts on table manners from Evelyn’s hint. But of course there are some considerations that may takes place.

TO DO:
Do place your napkin on your lap as soon as you sit down to the table.
Do ask for something to be passed to you if it’s more than an arm’s length away.
Do wait for everyone at the table to be served before you begin eating.
Do leave a utensil on the floor if you accidentally drop it when in a restaurant. Signal the server for a replacement.
Do leave your empty plates for the server to collect when in a restaurant. Do not stack them.

NOT TO DO:
Don’t rearrange the table setting, even if the table has not been set properly.
Don’t butter a whole slice of bread or roll. Take off a small piece and butter only that bite.
Don’t leave your spoon in your cup after adding cream and sugar. Place the spoon on your saucer or on a paper napkin.
Don’t take food out of your mouth with your hand. If you need to remove food, use your fork and place the discarded food discreetly on the plate.
Don’t speak with mouths full.
Don’t blow on hot food. Wait for it to cool before eating.

And finally when you have finished your meal, set your knife and fork parallel to one another diagonally across your plate with the handles pointing to four o’clock.

There you go and you gotta just be yourself if what’s pleases you.
